Greensboro, N.C. -- Syngenta Crop Protection today announced that Revus Top® fungicide received U.S. Environmental Protection Agency approval for use on grapes. Revus Top was first registered for use on potatoes and tomatoes for the 2008 use season.
This label expansion allows for use of Revus Top on grapes to prevent downy mildew and powdery mildew, two damaging diseases that can devastate a vineyard. Revus Top combines difenoconazole, an industry-leading triazole with outstanding activity on powdery mildew, with the highly effective active ingredient mandipropamid to provide excellent downy mildew control in a convenient, value-priced premix product.
"At Syngenta, we're pleased to bring grape growers another fungicide option for their acres," said David Laird, fungicide brand manager at Syngenta. "We know how these diseases can adversely affect a vineyard and our research has shown Revus Top to be quick and effective at controlling both powdery mildew and downy mildew."
Revus Top belongs to the Revus® fungicide family. Revus brands all include mandipropamid and the proprietary LOK + FLO™ technology, which allows these products to bind quickly and tightly to plant surface and then penetrate the surface quickly to provide complete disease protection.
